As a child, Europe smelled like Nivea cream to me. It was the only western product we could occasionally buy on the beach, in secret, from East German tourists who had come to share the communist sun (which shone brighter than the capitalist one, it goes without saying). A little round blue box containing a feeling of distant, inaccessible freedom.
Today, chosen for this
Brussels Faces for 2030 campaign, I realise just how long the road has been. It has taken a lot of hard work, study and sacrifice, but it has also brought me great satisfaction. From the beaches of the Black Sea or the arid plains of southern Romania to Brussels, I am proud to represent the Romanian community in Belgium on the road to a more open and inclusive Europe. And to think that freedom always has shades of blue.
If Brussels had 1,000 people... because hope for the future of a city that deserves the best, a city that has been martyred over the last 20 years, will one day make history.

The honourable Innocent Kagbara, national president of the Pan-African Democratic Party (PDP), has been awarded a high international distinction for his socio-political and entrepreneurial commitments: the silver medal with palm and crown (Vermeil). This distinction is the fruit of numerous humanitarian actions carried out over several years for his country, Togo. This year's winner and host has made quite an impression. Despite his young age and his 1st term as a Member of the National Assembly, he has demonstrated his fervour and fighting spirit to reduce inequality and discrimination in his country. Having won the unanimous approval of the jury, Innocent KAGBARA expresses his gratitude to the organisation.
This growing and well-deserved reputation should enable him to work with serious national and international philanthropic organisations to help him achieve his far-reaching vision. This vision is of a prosperous Togo where inequalities are drastically reduced. This ideal wi...

During a visit to the Vatican and a meeting with Pope Francis, the Institution Sévigné delegation, led by Erick DUCROCQ, had the opportunity to meet Monsignor GERVAIS, Coadjutor Prefect of the Vatican Chapter. Archbishop GERVAIS is the president of a world-renowned association that works to offer hospitality and space to artists from all over the world, and is also a member of our association. During the visit, Erick DUCROCQ discussed the association's influence in our country with his friend the prelate at the Vatican. In addition, Archbishop GERVAIS blessed the young people of Sévigné, allowing them to be privileged guests in the Vatican State and to meet the Holy Father. Belgium (Brussels Morning newspaper) The European Parliament witnessed a momentous event on the 25th of October, organized by the Turkish Wind Energy Association. The summit, titled “Supply Chain Challenges and Solution on Wind Energy and Alternatives for the EU,” served as a platform to address critical issues in the wind energy sector, fostering collaboration, understanding, and joint ventures between the European Union and Türkiye.

The event, moderated by Giles Dickson, CEO of WindEurope, commenced with a comprehensive overview of the EU’s wind power package presented by Commissioner Kadri Simon.

In a resounding testament to the European Union’s commitment to renewable energy, Commissioner Kadri Simon unveiled a strategy during the summit. The numbers spoke for themselves: a staggering 16 GW of wind power installations were added in 2022, reflecting a remarkable 47% increase from the previous year. With these accomplishments as a backdrop, Comm...
